GPS Tracking & Fleet Management in Rwanda

Track delivery vans, buses, trucks and motorcycle taxis in Kigali and on the corridors that link Rwanda to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania with ITrackZen.

Market overview

Fleet tracking in Rwanda

Rwanda is a compact, landlocked market where nearly all cargo arrives by road from Mombasa through Kenya and Uganda or from Dar es Salaam through Tanzania. Kigali runs dense networks of motorcycle taxis, buses and courier vans, and distributors supply the hills and provincial towns from the capital. Operators tend to want tight control of city fleets together with visibility of trucks that are days away on the Northern or Central Corridor.

Typical routes: Kigali to the Gatuna and Katuna border for the Northern Corridor, or east to Rusumo for the Central Corridor through Tanzania.

Connectivity & conditions

What to know before you start

Trackers need a data SIM from a local mobile network. Coverage is generally good in towns and along main roads; mountainous areas and border zones can have gaps, and devices store positions until they reconnect.

  • Supply and installation are confirmed for each request. We do not assume a local team in every city.
  • Live updates depend on mobile data coverage along your routes; devices store positions and upload them when signal returns.
  • Specialised hardware such as satellite trackers, where needed, is quoted separately.
